Passion Behind The Art Show is back with another episode for you to enjoy. This week Darold sits down with Andrew Thompson an art director and designer at Vayner Media.
Andrew spent a lot of his earlier years drawing, even spending time in the library during his high school years studying the craft. He pursued his passion in college as he sought out colleges that offered the New Media design curriculum. After college, his first experience in the workforce was being an intern. Although it wasn’t a paid assignment, Andrew learned how to organize fonts as well as sourcing photos. He then went on to a paid gig, where he was a junior designer and able to support a campaign from start to finish. His current role at Vayner Media allows him to assist others to establish their presence on the internet and social media platforms.
Listening to Andrew, you get the impression that he is a person that is talented, intelligent, humble and hungry for more. Wishing Andrew the best and as always, Happy Listening!
“Talent is maybe 25% of it, and 75% is actually connections and how you use the technology with your work to connect to people.”
